Susan B Anthony Award
BPW Hollywood has been presenting their Susan B. Anthony Award since 1985 to exceptional women for their outstanding achievement in their professions.
It’s for contributing in unique ways to individuals or to their communities, and always following the words of Miss Anthony: “Failure is Impossible!”
Susan B Anthony was a Journalist, Author & Speaker and one of the first women to actively advocate for the women’s vote and equality for men & women. She was known for her out spoken views and was often invited to speak at the White House on women’s suffrage.
She died before the vote was given to USA women, yet in 1980 the US Government created a $1 coin with her head on the coin to commemorate her being a huge part of Women’s History Month, which is also the anniversary of BPW Hollywood.
